Florentine Punch

Finally bought the ChristinaRe Florentine Punch I was looking at for awhile. I wasn't sure how often I would use it but I really like the design. Just tested it out on a paper torn from my Jetoy Diary.

Ribbon Ring

I made a ribbon ring! following the instructions from Whrrl.

I used a leftover piece of ribbon I found lying around the house.

Using a lighter, I burnt the frayed edges.

Folded the ribbon in half..
And sewed roughly along the length of the ribbon.
Pull needle and thread to scrunch up ribbon and sew ends together.
Add bead or embellishment of choice in the middle of the flower ribbon.
I used a 5cent piece to cut out a felt circle.
Broken hair lucky! (2.25")

Glued hair lucky to back of flower ribbon and felt on top of that!

My first ribbon ring :)

How to make a cup coaster

My crocheted cup coaster

Picture from Meet me at Mike's

Today I bought a 2.5 mm crochet needle and two different coloured yarn. I followed the Meet me at Mike's tutorial on How to make a simple pot holder by Pip and created my little cup coaster. This is my first crocheted piece so there were a few holes at the start as I missed a couple of stitches but I got the hang of it as I went further along.

I stopped at at round 5 of the tutorial and made mine into a cup coaster instead of a pot holder!

Bookmark made at work

This is a miniature thoracic spine xray that was printed incorrectly at work and made into a bookmark! I didn't have a lightbox viewer at home so I had to hold it up to the light! Have you ever created something at work?
